Chief coach of Finland’s bandy team Tommy Osterberg said that Kazakhstan is likely to reach the finals in the World Bandy Championship that is being held in Almaty now, Tengrinews.kz reports. The expert announced this after Kazakhstan players defeated his team in the final match of the group stage. “It is clear that my team is now fourth after Sweden, Russia and Kazakhstan. Today your team has dominated the ice field. Kazakhstan is able to win over all its rival in the semi-finals. The most important thing is that your players don't lost confidence,” Osterberg said. Aleksey Nikishov, head coach of Kazakhstan team was satisfied with his players and the way they played against Finland. “The guys fulfilled almost all my instructions during the match. They played in a disciplined manner in the first half of the match, however they relaxed in the second half a bit. Today we have done all our best and tried new approaches. But, believe me, we will show more in this tournament,” Nikishov said. Kazakhstan flattened Finland on February 2 with the score of 10:4. The next rival of the national team is not known yet. It will become known after the match between Russia and Sweden. The semi-finals matches will take place on Saturday, February 4.
